An interesting article of conflict and division among the atheists: “Atheists Split Over Message” (NLA)
Greg Epstein, a humanist chaplain at Harvard University, is worried that the more radical agenda of the ‘New Atheists’ like Richard Dawkins and Sam Harris will actually slow down progress and bring greater opposition to change.
He actually refers to the more radical atheists as ‘atheist fundamentalists’. He believes that their agenda of trying to eliminate religion is actually counterproductive. He claims that their mind set isn’t all that different than some of the religious leaders that they criticize.
Comment: This is just too much fun! Maybe they should form different atheist denominations.
