Europe is gradually becoming Muslim while most Europeans are trying to ignore it and worse yet, politicians who should see it coming seem to be contributing to the surrender in the name of multi-culturalism and religious diversity.
Here’s a few quotes from one article in the UK Telegraph on the implications of a increasingly Muslim Europe: “Muslim Europe: the demographic time bomb transforming our continent” :
“The numbers are startling. … Europe’s Muslim population has more than doubled in the past 30 years and will have doubled again by 2015. In Brussels, the top seven baby boys’ names recently were Mohamed, Adam, Rayan, Ayoub, Mehdi, Amine and Hamza.
Europe’s low white birth rate, coupled with faster multiplying migrants, will change fundamentally what we take to mean by European culture and society. The altered population mix has far-reaching implications for education, housing, welfare, labour, the arts and everything in between. It could have a critical impact on foreign policy:”
Response: The world could be a very different place in 20 or 30 years if these trends continue. European cultures that have been around for more than 1,500 years could begin to disappear from the scene along with their languages. What is more astounding is the possibility that Arabic and Islamic cultures could supplant it all–the implications are far reaching.
Already anti-Semitism is on the rise in Europe particularly in the European Muslim communities. The nation of Israel is increasingly viewed as a pariah.
Double standards are increasingly tolerated when it comes to women’s rights. Women in European cultures have a great deal of equality while European Muslim women are still subjected to medieval Islamic traditions and practices. Many countries have tried to accommodate Islamic family traditions by ignoring polygamy or wife beatings even though they are clearing against the law.
In England, sharia law is currently being expanded in the Muslim community through a new family sharia court system which runs parallel to with very different results than the regular English justice and jurisprudence system.
At a time when Christianity has increasingly less influence in dominant European cultures and atheism and regularization of gay lifestyles is on the rise, the specter of Islamic demographics on the horizon promises to take Europe in an entirely different direction.
The European intelligentsia that have encouraged toleration and accommodation for divergent cultures, religions, and lifestyles—anything that isn’t Christian, have also provided the very seed bed for their own possible destruction. The rise of Islam is on the horizon and brings with it a culture and religion that is diametrically opposed to nearly everything that the liberal Europeans stand for.
What will Europe be like in 20 or 30 years we simply cannot know for sure. The dominant cultures may rise up in reaction to an increasing Islamization of their population. One thing for sure, look for some major cultural conflicts in the future. Will Europe quietly pass into the night and increasingly transition into a new ‘Eurabia’? Maybe.
I am praying and hoping for a Christian revival to spread across the face of Europe once more and bring thousands of Muslims to Christ—that too would bring a major change to Europe and beyond.
