-Praying for Revival: Psalm 64

by Request ~ October 5th, 2017

A Psalm of David

64 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.

2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:

3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:

4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.

5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.

7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.

8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.

9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Let us rejoice and take refuge in your Son Jesus and let all who seek to be upright through the help of your Holy Spirit exult and praise your name.

For you have saved us in the past from the wiles and the plans of the enemy who comes to destroy. Your Holy Spirit has guided us away from the secret traps and snares set by the evil one and his minions. You have protected us from those followers who are influenced by the enemy of our souls even though they do not claim to know him or even admit his existence.

Hear our voice, O Lord God, and continue to preserve our lives and reputations from the enemy who does not stop his attacks nor does he seem to tire. But we do need rest sometimes from his war upon us and in our weakness need to be hid and surrounded by your hosts and be strengthened for the tasks before us.

Strengthen us by your presence, let your Kingdom come down in our midst and raise us up to become the people of destiny we are called to be. Let your word go forth to the nations and let your servants go forth in your strength with signs and miracles following.

The enemy is harassing us and bringing words of discouragement. We know that our souls are eternally secure by our faith in your Son but in this life we are left to work out that faith in the face of the evil one who wants to destroy our testimony and bring us down.

Strengthen us O Lord and give us the rest we need so that we may prepare for our next battle and be successful in the vision and calling that you have given us. Let us rejoice and take refuge in the shadow of your wings and gain the strength that we need for the next task.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 63

by Request ~ October 4th, 2017

A Psalm of David

63 O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;

2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.

3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

5 My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.

7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.

8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.

9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

10 They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.  (KJV)

Our Father,

You are our God; we earnestly seek you; our souls thirst for you; as in a dry and thirty land where there is no water. Because your loving kindness is better than life, our lips will praise you. So we will bless you as long as we live; in your name we will lift up our hands in praise. For you have been our help, and in the shadow of your wings we continue to sing for joy.

We pray that you would send down your Kingdom in our midst and let revival flood our land. Let the church rise up from its death bed and become a beacon to the oppressed and let the cities be blessed once more by a new demonstration of your Spirit. Let the hosts of heaven clear the way for our testimonies to be heard, let the enemy and his minions be held back and let a new awakening come to a new generation.

Let the church rise up once more and fulfill its calling. Let your servants flow with words of your authority and with your healing in their wings for a nation that is falling away. Let your name be preached and your gospel cover the land like a flood with demonstrations of your power bringing miracles that cannot be denied.  Let the whole nation be alive with your praises and silence the unbelievers once more.

Let your Kingdom come, your will be done in our midst and heal our land.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 62

by Request ~ October 3rd, 2017

A Psalm of David

62 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.

3 How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence.

4 They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly.

Selah.

5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.

6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I shall not be moved.

7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.

8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.

Selah.

9 Surely men of low degree are vanity, and men of high degree are a lie: to be laid in the balance, they are altogether lighter than vanity.

10 Trust not in oppression, and become not vain in robbery: if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

11 God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God.

12 Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.  (KJV)

Our Father,

You alone are my rock and my salvation, my defense; I shall not be greatly moved or shaken. From your Holy Spirit my soul waits in silence for direction; from your Son comes my salvation. In your presence rests all of my hope and glory.

Those who follow the evil one try to take me down and destroy my family, but I trust in you at all times and give you all of my heart and love. For my destiny is in your hands, your plans are only for my good, for the real power is yours and you are in control of all creation and over time and eternity.

I will seek your face alone and reject the plans of my enemies, the evil one has his plans of ruin but you are my hope and my refuge, my rock and salvation in the midst of danger and strife.

I will not trust in position or riches, the acclaim and fame that is so fleeting, the power over others that makes one drunk, and the wealth offered by the world and those who the evil one has control over. By your Spirit and direction I want to become your humble servant.

You alone are my rock and my salvation, my defense; I shall not be greatly moved or shaken. For you have already spoken and your Son has already risen to save me for all time in this life and the life to come. My future is sure in you and to you belongs all of my worship and praise, all of my hope and steadfast love, my trust and service.

From you alone my soul waits in silence for your presence and daily direction.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 61

A Psalm of David

61 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.

2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

4 I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.

Selah.

5 For thou, O God, hast heard my vows: thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.

6 Thou wilt prolong the king’s life: and his years as many generations.

7 He shall abide before God for ever: O prepare mercy and truth, which may preserve him.

8 So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Hear our cry O Lord, Listen to our prayers. From the ends of the earth believers in your Son Jesus are calling to you. The church is being persecuted as never before, those called by the name of your Son are being sacrificed daily by those who say they pray to you but follow a false prophet and word.

Let this be the generation that really follows the rock that is higher than us, let your Son be reflected in the church as never before. Let us stand on the shoulders of previous revivals, send down your Kingdom to dwell in our midst and cleanse us from our sins and from the influence of the evil one. Let your tent come down and dwell with us and cover us in the shadow of your wings. Let your hosts keep the enemy and his minion out and let us break through and become the church we are called to be all around the world.

You have instilled in us the heritage of former moves, the testimony of past generations which were touched by heaven and awakened in a special way. Let us begin where they left off and continue until every nation has heard of your Son and the good news is preached among every people of the earth. Let us participate in the great harvest, let the church rise up and fulfill its destiny.

Let your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Let us dwell in your presence forever and sing praises before your throne,

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 60

by Request ~ September 29th, 2017

A Psalm of David

60 O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast scattered us, thou hast been displeased; O turn thyself to us again.

2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.

5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.

6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;

8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.

9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?

10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?

11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.

12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.  (KJV)

Our Father,

It is only through you that we shall be successful; for you shall tread down our foes and protect us from our enemies. Please do not cast us away, O Lord, like we may deserve; do not reject your church and believers even though we have not followed your word like we should have or demonstrated your love adequately to a falling culture and nation.

Our weather is out of control, it is sweltering hot where once it was mild and bone-chilling cold in places that once had temperate winters. Hurricanes destroy cities and tornados go through towns, and earthquakes and tsunamis are killing thousands in far away places but we  see the pictures and it is like they are right next door. They say the ‘big one’ is on the way to California and destruction and ruin is sure to come. Nobody knows where to turn since our scientists can do nothing to stop it and most have forgotten how to pray.

Our nation and culture is falling away from your word, so many no longer believe. So few look to you for answers and protection, even those who do believe doubt that you have brought this weather and those who say that the wall of protection around our country has been taken down are hounded by the media and believers alike. They ask, how can a God of love allow such disasters to happen?

There are still millions who believe in your Son and millions who call upon your name daily praying for revival and a new awakening in our land. Will you bring judgment against them also?

You have spoken of your holiness, your word directs our steps. You have set up a banner for those who love and fear you, that they may flee to it from the ruin and be saved in the midst of it all. And that banner of salvation is your Son Jesus. Will the believers go down with the rest, those of us who call your name will we see destruction also? We live among the unbelievers, our children go to school with the rest, and we work and shop with those who deny your name.

Let it not be so! Deliver us from ruin and our whole land from destruction. Have mercy upon all the little ones, and bring your revival all across this land once more.  Let us escape the plans of the evil one to destroy this nation and let us see our finest hour instead. Let the church rise up and fulfill its destiny starting here and starting now.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 59

by Request ~ September 28th, 2017

A Psalm of David

59 Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.

2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.

3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord.

4 They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.

5 Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors.

Selah.

6 They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?

8 But thou, O Lord, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.

9 Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.

10 The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.

11 Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.

12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.

13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth.

Selah.

14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

15 Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.

16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.

17 Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Praise your name. Let all who dwell upon the earth know that you rule over all of nature and humanity, even those who disbelieve.

Unto all the peoples of the earth, we will sing of your strength. We will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning and your protection in the night. For you have been to us a fortress and a refuge in the days of our distress,  a rock during our nights of contention.

Our enemies come against us with well sounding words that seem educated and wise but bring destruction into the lives of all those who accept them. They are unbelievers who glory in their ignorance about you and your Son and promote their ways of darkness as light. They are truly pawns in the hands of the evil one who they don’t even believe exists.

They continually howl like dogs before the forums of the World, bellowing their words of death gathering followers from every nation contending with the church and all who believe. Saying to anyone who they think will hear, pressing the leaders and authorities and self-important ones of the media, that the church needs to be neutralized, the believers controlled and silenced.

They claim that faith in you brings violence and war. But it is the evil one that leads false prophets astray and false religions into terrorism that is the real danger to peace on the earth. Such self proclaimed unbelievers are also followers of the evil one and his minions even if they do not recognize or know it.

But you, O Lord, are above the false philosophies that enslave humanity and hold in derision the leaders who would come against the church and the followers of your Son. Rise up O Lord and let your Word go forth to every nation, let your servants peach in every language and to every people.

Let your Kingdom come down in the midst of your church and let the believers demonstrate your power over nature and your reality in face of those who say there is no God. Let healings and miracles, signs and wonders follow all of us who believe and confirm your Word before a disbelieving and false lead world.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 58

by Request ~ September 27th, 2017

58 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

2 Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

3 The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

4 Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

5 Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

6 Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O Lord.

7 Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

9 Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.  (KJV)

Our Father,

We who believe in your Word naturally expect that there is some kind of justice and reward in this life for the righteous from you O God Almighty who sees all and judges everything that happens on the earth. Yet the wicked seem to multiply and success seems to find them anyway.

The evil one reaches out to so many from the very beginning and seems to reward those who ignore your word and rule over their own lives seeking wealth and power at any cost. But they really are not in charge but are enslaved by the enemy who gives them visions of freedom while he chains them up according to their own pleasures and desires. The evil one has convinced many that there is no God and that this life is all that there is and they have no real expectation or hope for a life to come. He has stolen their hope and purpose in life and has replace it with obsession.

But the righteous really do rejoice in this life and have your Spirit to guide them and give them purpose. And they have hope in the life to come in the name of your Son Jesus.

We pray for those who the evil one and his minions have enslaved even though they come against us as enemies. Let the walls which the evil one has built be melted away so that they can see the truth and the truth can set them free.

Nevertheless, in the meantime protect us from such who our enemy uses to try and bring us down and make our life more difficult. Blunt their arrows, break their teeth, and tear out their fangs as they come against us and try to put down your church.

Let the truth be known, let the light shine in the darkness, and let the captives be set free. We look for the coming of your Son when every knee shall bow and every tongue will bless his name and your word will be confirmed in every nation and everyone who ever lived will finally know the truth.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 57

by Request ~ September 26th, 2017

A Psalm of David

57 Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

3 He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up.

Selah.

God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.

4 My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.

5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.

6 They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves.

Selah.

7 My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

8 Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.

9 I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.

10 For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds.

11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.

(KJV)

Our Father,

You are exalted, O God, above the heavens, your glory is over all the earth.  Be merciful to us, O Lord, be merciful to us.  We take refuge in the shadow of your wings, we will take refuge till the storms of destruction pass us by.

Send down from Heaven your hosts to protect us from the evil one and his minions, from his representatives among the people who pursue us and want to destroy our reputations and lives. Who want to still our voice and stop our testimony of your goodness and love.

We dwell in the midst of lions; we lie down among fiery beasts— the children of humanity, whose teeth are like spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp with words that destroy and bare false witness. Their nets are set and their pit is dug and our destiny seems to be in their hands.

Save us O Lord from such who are clever through the inspiration of the enemy and sound so true and logical that even our friends have a hard time disbelieving and even our families are among those with doubts.

But you are exalted, O God, above the heavens, your glory is over all the earth. We cry out to you O God Most High, fulfill your purpose in us. Shine your light into the darkness and let the followers of the evil one fall into their own well crafted pit and be ambushed by their own well sounding words. Let the truth prevail and bring down the the false mountain of evidence that seems so formidable.

For you are exalted, O God, above the heavens, your glory is over all the earth. The enemy cannot stand in your presence and his minions shrink away in the presence of your heavenly hosts. Our enemies will not be able to stand before us when the light of the truth is revealed. Let your light shine into the darkness and let truth be a beacon that cannot be ignored.

We will give thanks to you, O Lord, among all who listen, We will sing praises to you wherever we go, and our testimony will continue to go forth to the nations. For your steadfast love is greater than the enemy, your faithfulness beyond the clouds and your salvation is forever. The evil one will not prevail. For you are exalted, O God, above the heavens, and your glory is over all the earth.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying for Revival: Psalm 56

by Request ~ September 25th, 2017

A Psalm of David

56 Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.

2 Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.

3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.

5 Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.

6 They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.

7 Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.

8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.

10 In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.

11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

12 Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?  (KJV)

Our Father,

This I know, that you are for me. I trust you and will not be afraid. The words of your Son dwell within me and your Holy Spirit recalls them to my mind.

I praise your name in the midst of the strife with my enemies surrounding me and trying to take me down. All day long they injure my cause, all their thoughts against me are for evil. They stir up strife, they lurk and watch to counter all of my steps.

My enemies say that it is all over, there is no hope for my cause. The evil one comes against me using ignorant people who do not know you and serve an ancient one they do not even believe exists.

I cry out to my family and they do not understand. My wife supports me but knows not what to say. But your Holy Spirit comforts me and gives me direction and hope.

In the name of your Son Jesus you have delivered my soul for all eternity but in this life I am in trouble through no actions of my own but the enemy comes to take what little I do have and silence my testimony of your blessings and grace.

My opposition has the support of the evil one and his influence guides their way and attack. Rise up O Lord and come to my defense. Give me the words to speak to turn back the enemy and expose the truth. Send others that will help me in my dilemma and show me the path out of this trouble.

Let my enemies be disappointed, frustrated, and embarrassed. Let the light shine in the darkness and let the truth set me free.

In Jesus name, Amen.
