Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-

Read Psalm 64 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

Let us rejoice and take refuge in your Son Jesus and let all who seek to be upright through the help of your Holy Spirit exult and praise your name.

For you have saved us in the past from the wiles and the plans of the enemy who comes to destroy. Your Holy Spirit has guided us away from the secret traps and snares set by the evil one and his minions. You have protected us from those followers who are influenced by the enemy of our souls even though they do not claim to know him or even admit his existence.

Hear our voices, O Lord God, and continue to preserve our lives and reputations from the enemy who does not stop his attacks nor does he seem to tire. But we do need rest sometimes from his war upon us and in our weakness need to be hidden and surrounded by your hosts and be strengthened for the tasks before us.

Strengthen us by your presence, let your Kingdom come down in our midst and raise us up to become the people of destiny we are called to be. Let your word go forth to the nations and let your servants go forth in your strength with signs and miracles following.

The enemy is harassing us and bringing words of discouragement. We know that our souls are eternally secure by our faith in your Son but in this life we are left to work out that faith in the face of the evil one who wants to destroy our testimony and bring us down. Let your light shine upon the falsehoods of the enemy and let the whole truth be revealed for all to see.

Strengthen us O Lord and give us the rest we need so that we may prepare for our next battle and be successful in the vision and calling that you have given us. Let us rejoice and take refuge in the shadow of your wings and gain the strength that we need for the next task. Let us continue to praise your name in the midst of it all.

In Jesus name, Amen.
