Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-

Read Psalm 56 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

This we know, that you are for us;  we trust you and will not be afraid. We are thankful that The words of your Son dwell within us and your Holy Spirit recalls them to our minds.

We praise your name in the midst of the strife with our enemies surrounding us and trying to take us down. All day long they injure our cause which is to bring your Son Jesus to all nations and people particularly to our own nation. They stir up strife, they lurk, and watch to counter all of our steps.

Our enemies say that it is all over, that history has passed us by, and there is no hope for our cause. The evil one comes against us using ignorant people who do not know you and serve an ancient one they do not even believe exists.

We cry out, but many believers even in the church do not understand. They support the Great Commission but do not know what to say or do; but fortunately your Holy Spirit comforts us and gives direction and hope.

In the name of your Son Jesus you have delivered and saved our spirits for all eternity but in this life we have tribulation and the enemy comes to try and silence our testimonies of your grace and blessings and thwart the advancement of your Kingdom.

Those who are against us have the support of the evil one and his influence guides their ways and attacks. Rise up O Lord and come to our defense; give us the words to speak to turn back the enemy and expose the truth in love. Send others that will help us in the midst of it all and show us the path out of the trouble that the enemy intends for us.

Let our enemies be disappointed, frustrated, and embarrassed. Let your Kingdom come down in our midst and over turn the principalities and powers of the enemy; bring revival and healing to a dying nation and people and let us celebrate victory over our enemy the Devil and his cohorts. We will continue to praise your name regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in.

In Jesus name, Amen.
