Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-

Read Psalm 37 and then join us in prayer:

Our Father,

We trust in you and delight in your ways. We commit ourselves to you and your Son Jesus.

Let your Holy Spirit work within us to bring forth good and let the righteousness of your Son shine as a light in our lives and let your justice come forth and be a reality in our midst.

Teach us O Lord to be patient and refrain from anger, forsaking wrath within our homes and communities; for you have promised that those who wait for You shall inherit the land and the meek your Kingdom.

For you know our days and see our hearts; and you have promised that the faithful will see that their heritage remains and their blessings will be extended forever.

Let our steps O Lord be established and upheld by you; for you have promised that the faithful who uphold the name of your Son will never be disappointed and they will be preserved forever.

Lord, by your Holy Spirit inspire us to live according to your Wisdom and speak out for justice in an a world that is uneven and unfair; guide us away from evil but always toward the truth and the good.

We thank you Lord for our Salvation in this life and the eternal life to come. It was not through our own deeds that we qualify but only through faith in your Son Jesus; but through faith you have given us your Spirit which enables us to do good and to be just. We could have never done this on our own. Praise your name, we take refuge in you.

Not so the unbelievers who try to do everything in their own name to pacify creation. We pray for them that by your grace they will find the truth and be saved and blessed also. Let them receive your help and let them be delivered from the enemy who has deceived and enslaved them.

Let your Word go forth and be a blessing among the people in this land once more and let them receive your goodness in this life through your Son and for all time and eternity.

In Jesus name, Amen.
