-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 21
by Dr. D ~ December 3rd, 2021

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 21 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
We praise your name for the wonderful things that you have done for us in the past and continue to do in spite of our rebellious behavior. This nation worshiped you and honored your Son from the beginning and you blessed us with peace and security and wealth above most nations.
In this generation we have turned our backs upon you and worshiped money and power yet you have been faithful and patient with our people.
Now our enemies are rising up against us and we are no longer feared by the nations who would do us harm. Enemies are even in our midst using our freedoms against us to divide us against ourselves.
Those of us who continue to worship and honor you are thankful that you have withheld judgment from this nation but now we see even nature is rising up against us. Even the non-believers are taking the natural calamities as judgments of nature against our behavior even if they do not honor you as Creator and God or your Word.
We are falling and failing and we have leaders who claim to be strong but are spiritually weak and divisive. They have no real answers to our problems but push failing and divisive ‘progressive’ ideologies while seeking power and wealth for themselves and their friends instead of doing what is best for our country and world.
We live in dangerous times when we need leaders that will seek your face and wisdom. Lord, please rise up and bring forth new godly people to lead us out of this spiritual desert that we have chosen for ourselves.
Our nation has seen revival before and we need revival now in order to avoid the dustbin of history. Extend your hand once more over our land and hover with your Holy Spirit over our cities. Bring a new awakening in our neighborhoods and among our children and give hope and vision to our young people. Rise up with healing in your wings for a nation that has departed and is spiritually dying. Let your Word go forth with power and authority once more across our land. Let your Kingdom come in our midst and let the truth of your Word be demonstrated once more with signs, wonders, miracles, and healings.
In Jesus name, Amen.
