Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Zechariah 5-7 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
Through the prophet Zechariah You asked Your people to show mercy and compassion to others including widows, the fatherless, strangers and the poor. Your Son Jesus taught the same thing and even counseled believers to love and pray for their enemies.
Father, help us to show mercy, compassion, and love to everyone we come in contact with. Let us sow peace rather than division and be agents of healing and forgiveness; praying for those who oppose us and asking for your help to love those who are our enemies. It is only through the help of your Holy Spirit that we are able to fulfill the teaching of the prophets and your Son Jesus.
In his precious name we pray, Amen.
