Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 131 and then join us in prayer
Our Father,
We cry for our nation that our people would once more find their hope in you and y0ur Son Jesus and not in riches, politicians, and in their armed forces.
By your Holy Spirit we come before you humbled and we see our weaknesses and we see that our only real hope is in you today and for all eternity. Nothing that the world can give us really satisfies our longing and our long term security.
But through our faith alone in your Son Jesus Christ we can boldly come before you in prayer and in complete assurance that our salvation is secure in this life and the life to come.
Praise your name Lord and praise your Son Jesus and your Holy Spirit which is our helper and brings us peace and hope in the midst of a world which doesn’t have any.
In Jesus name, Amen.
