Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 119: 49-56 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
Father, your Word has given us hope in this life and through your Son Jesus we have hope in the life to come. We are living in times where Christians are suffering death and persecution for their faith around the world and we are thankful that in this country we are only being made fun of and marginalized by the main stream media and dominant culture.
We sometime react in indignation to the falling of our culture and nation into darkness away from the light of your teachings and Kingdom. We cry out now for our people; let revival come to those looking for hope and peace in all of the wrong places. Let your light shine into the darkness and replace anger and strife with love and caring in Jesus name. Let it spread to every city and state; let worship break out on the beaches, mountains, and plains and spread from sea to shining sea while there is yet day.
Bring a new awakening to this nation and to your church and servants. Let your Kingdom come down in our midst and let your Holy Spirit inspire us to go forth with renewed vigor and make new disciples in this nation and among every people and tongue.
Let the church rise up from its slumber and shake off the persecution and humiliation to once again become the shining light and beacon set upon a hill that we are called to be. Let miracles, healing, and signs wake up the nations to the teaching and good news of your coming Kingdom.
In Jesus name, Amen.
