-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 116
by Dr. D ~ September 22nd, 2020
Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 116 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
We praise your name Lord: you have listened to our pleas in the past and have saved us through the mercies extended to us by the sacrifice of your Son Jesus. You are gracious, righteous, and merciful to all those who believe in you and on the name of your Son.
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. You have said in your Word that the lives of the saints are precious in your sight.
We now pray for those who are paying the ultimate price for their faith and their families which are being slaughtered and sold into slavery. Rise up O Lord and bring relief to your servants in the Middle East and in Africa and India that are being brutally killed and sacrificed because they refuse to convert to a false religion, a false book, and a false prophet.
Let those who survive receive mercy and let the perpetrators find the truth and let them be converted to Jesus to replace those they have killed. Bring revival among the survivors and an awakening to the light and truth among the terrorists who are slaughtering your people. Turn it all upside down on the evil one who is the real enemy.
And we pray for our own nation, let the light shine in the darkness and bring revival and unity under the name of your Son Jesus; replace the division, the chaos, and bring healing in the midst of the pandemic. Let this nation praise your name once more from sea to shining sea in Jesus name.
In Jesus name, Amen.
