-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 111

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 111 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
Father, praise your name Lord! We give thanks to you with all of our hearts
in the company of the faithful and in the congregation of believers in your Son Jesus.
Great are the works of your hand O Lord, full of splendor and majesty is your work,
and your righteousness endures forever.
You are gracious and merciful; remembering your Word and promises to the faithful forever. The works of your hands are faithful and just; your Word and all your precepts are trustworthy; they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
You have sent redemption to your people and the whole world in the person and gift of your Son Jesus. He gave his life to take away the sins of the world and save all believers forever in your Kingdom. Holy and awesome is his name! His name is above all other names including COVID19.
In your Word it says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and all those who practice it have a good understanding. Praise and respect for the true Lord and God is different than the Spirit of Fear which is dominating our nation right now. Thanks for giving all believers in your Son your Holy Spirit which gives us hope and helps us to combat the fear of the enemy and provides us with counsel and guidance; empowering all your servants in the middle of it all.
You have also said that you are giving us ‘the inheritance of the nations.’ Let your servants go forth in power to this generation to every people, nation, and tongue proclaiming the good news of your Kingdom and the salvation your Son to all those who have not heard. Let all those who are captive to the false wisdom and religions of humankind finally come to a knowledge of the truth about your Word and Son.. We ask that you hold back the enemy as you have promised until the task is complete:
Let there be a new awakening as you pour out your Spirit on this nation and all others. Let the entire world be filled with the knowledge of your glory and the salvation of your Son. Let everyone hear in this generation and let whole nations be revived and changed while there is yet day.
