-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 109

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 109 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
Please do not be silent, O God of our praise! For wicked and deceitful mouths are opened against us, speaking against us with lying tongues. They accuse us of bigotry and come against all who are called by the name of your Son Jesus with words of hate attacking your servants without cause. We reach out to others in love but they accuse us of hatred instead and reward us with evil for good; with discrimination for loving and helping others in your name.
Help us O Lord our God! Father save us according to your steadfast love. Let your light shine and let the truth be known among the nations and let every people and tongue hear the truth. Your servants are being persecuted and even killed around the world for their faith in you and your Son Jesus. Let it not be in vain but let their blood be the seed that brings a mighty harvest.
Let revival come to this nation once more and to the nations that use to know you and let all of the people who never knew of your Kingdom hear your Word and see your Gospel confirmed through signs and wonders.
Let the lies of the evil one and his minions be exposed and let the truth prevail. Release the captives from the false religions that hold them, and let the slaves to erring philosophies find your Son Jesus and the good news of his teaching and be free in this life and for all eternity.
