-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 85

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 85 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
Restore us again, O God of our salvation, and we thank you for the love and blessed compassion you always have for us. Will you not revive us again, that your people may rejoice and demonstrate the truth of your promises. Please continue to Demonstrate your steadfast love for us, O Lord, in the name of your Son Jesus.
For many generations our people have worshiped and served you. Now in our time of need, do not abandon us to the evil wiles of the enemy who would like to destroy us and enslave this nation. Save us from this pandemic and the political responses which have resulted in many churches closing around this country. Rise in the midst of it all and bless your people; those who call upon your name and serve your Son.
Many lands and leaders would like to destroy our country and take away our freedoms; some in our own nation. Particularly our freedom to worship and live according to your teaching.
A people who claim to serve you and live according to a false prophet and another book want to destroy your people in Israel then attack this land also. Rise up O Lord and protect us from such; let Jerusalem live in peace. Please let your blessing flow to our land for recognizing Jerusalem and for continuing to support Israel. We pray for our leaders that they would always protect Israel from attack and support the words of the prophets of former times.
Let your Spirit hover over this land once more and bring repentance from this people; let revival spread from coast to coast from town to city, from state to state. Let your people stand up in the streets and support your Word and Kingdom; Let your Word be preached in power as never before with signs following; let your Kingdom come down in our midst and become a reality while there is yet day.
Lord you poured your Spirit upon a bunch of Hippies 50 years ago; we ask that you would pour it again upon the very ones who are protesting in the streets and looking for a better life; one that can really only be fulfilled by your Son Jesus.
Let your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
