-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 54

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 54 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
You have always stood with us and have protected us from our enemies, you have always been our shield and our rock, the faithful builder and upholder of our lives.
Enemies have risen up against us once more, a pandemic and folks who do not know you or your Son, who are motivated personal and political gain. They distort the truth and gain support through whispered innuendos and put us down because of our continuing faith and devotion to you and your word; calling us haters and your Word a thing of the past that must be given up..
The causes that are tearing apart our cities and country; bringing division and violence, seem justified and overdue but evil folks are behind the scenes pulling the strings with unseen and unspoken motivations to ultimately destroy our nation, economy, and freedoms including the freedom of religion.
Your Son taught us to pray for such but we need your help and the support of your Holy Spirit since the words are caught in our throats and we know not what to pray.
Rise up O God and bring us vindication through exposure of the truth. Let your light shine in the darkness and uncover the plans of the evil one against us. Let those who seek to do us harm fail and let the truth prevail.
Deliver us from our trouble and let us humbly rejoice over your triumph once more over the evil one and those who he has led to believe are our enemies.
In Jesus name, Amen.
