-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 38

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 38 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
We praise your name O Lord. Our enemy comes to us claiming that we have no business asking for your help since we have failed you so many times. But you are always faithful to forgive us when we come before you in repentance.
Do not forsake us now O Lord in this time of sickness and racial strife in our nation. Rise up with our salvation and with healing in your wings as you always have in the past. We stumble about in hopelessness and confusion lacking your wisdom. Let us stand up in intercession for our nation and worship and praise for you regardless of the circumstances in the company of believers with joy. Take the sickness and the chaos away and replace it with a strong testimony of your grace. Take our doubt away and give us hope once more in the land of the living.
Make haste O Lord to help us in the face of our enemy as a testimony against him. Let us rejoice and continue to celebrate your goodness in the midst of it all. O Lord, bring us salvation in this life along with the life to come. Bring your Kingdom down in our midst and let us rejoice in your presence and extend your love and mercies to all we come in contact with.
In Jesus name, Amen.
