-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Psalm 12

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion-
Read Psalm 12 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
On every turn, in this generation, that which was once considered evil is now exalted. Most of our ruling authorities have turned their backs on your Word and promote the people seeking power for pet causes and political ideologies that actually weaken the nation and bring division. The wealthy have turned away from sharing with the poor; with pride they proclaim their superiority, dominance, and mastery over others. So many no longer fear you or even believe that you exist.
Rise up O God and call your faithful together and let them be a force for good in this fallen culture and let their light and love burn through all of the moral pretense and PC cultural fog laid down by the enemy. Let the truth burn through our land once more.
Let your blessings fall on the believers in a special way as a witness in a fearful unbelieving climate. Let your Holy Spirit bring an awakening among your people that cannot be refuted or denied. Let the fruits of revival bring forth health and healing; let the poor be blessed and all of their needs fulfilled.
Rise up and do a new thing among your people that will create confidence, faith, joy, and celebration among them. Let them shine like a beacon and draw many to you out of the darkness and despair in a culture that insists that there is no creation and no purpose in life. Let them bring real hope, faith, love, and peace once more to a fallen culture and nation.
