-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Zechariah 12

Join us in today’s prayer and devotion:
Read Zechariah 12 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
You are the great creator of all things we see and don’t see; the One who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the very breath and spirit within us. We pray for and depend upon Your Wisdom in this time of trouble and confusion.
For over 70 years you have shielded the nation of Israel against all opposition and according to Your Word You will continue to do so until the coming back of Your Son Jesus. Zechariah prophesies that those in the modern nation of Israel will one day recognize that your Son Jesus; the one who was rejected, crucified, and pierced by their ancestors, is their genuine Messiah and they shall mourn for him and eventually celebrate his coming.
Your Word also declares that You will bless and also shield those who recognize him today; those who have an unfailing faith in Your Son Jesus, now and forevermore. We claim and depend upon Your promises; and we are secure in Your love and thankful for Your help in these chaotic and confusing times.
