-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Hosea 3-4

Our Father,
Through the prophet Hosea You prophesied that in the last days the people of Israel would return to You. We seek for our own nation to return to You and really be a ‘nation under God.’ We ask for revival rather than judgment; let Your Spirit hover over America once more and bring a new awakening among this people and unity under You rather than the division we are now experiencing.
You proclaimed through the prophet that “people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge.” We live in a time when knowledge has increased but ironically Your Word and teaching has been rejected in this culture; the very teaching and Good News that brings hope, love, peace and unity in this life and the life to come.
We ask that through Your Holy Spirit that we will be able to live according to Your Word and demonstrate Your love and good news to all we come in contact with. May Your Kingdom come and be supernaturally manifested in our midst; let signs and wonders, miracles and healing validate Your Word to a divided and falling nation while there is yet day.
