-Devotion and Prayer for the Day: Haggai 2:10-23

Read Haggai 2:10-23 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
You declared through the prophet Haggai: “I am about to shake the heavens and the earth, and to overthrow the throne of kingdoms. I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations… .“ Many believe that this also applies to our own day and that ‘Zerubbabel’ is really a type that represents Jesus his descendant and heir; who is Your real signet ring, Son, and Messiah.
You declared that You would bless that people as they dedicated themselves to rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem. May this also apply to all of us today as we build up Your church through applying Your Word and the guidance of Your Spirit.
We ask for Your sovereign move of revival and a spiritual awakening in our own nation. We are also hoping to participate in a world-wide harvest; when the Good News of Your Son and Your Kingdom is preached around the whole world and in every nation.
In Jesus name, Amen.
