Read Amos 3 and then join us in prayer:
Our Father,
In times past, you declared judgment upon the rulers of Israel because they stopped believing in You and ignored your Word and oppressed the poor. We pray for mercy on our own land since our politicians and economic rulers seem to be doing the same in this generation.
We ask for the Great Harvest and revival in our own country rather than the calamity we seem to be heading for. We ask for unity and peace in our land rather than division and war. Let our leaders seek to walk with you once more rather than going their own ways; fulfilling their own selfish desires and erroneous PC thinking.
Let each one of us do our part bringing love and peace rather than hate in our neighborhoods and cities. Let each one of us be transformed by the renewing of our minds to follow your teaching daily.
Send forth your prophets among us to declare your Word and warning while there is yet day. We pray that your Spirit will come close and hover over our nation and encourage our leaders and people to once more walk according to your Word- The Bible and seek your guidance once more; that there might be justice and peace in our land.
