-France: ISIS Inspired Muslims ‘Behead’ Priest During Morning Mass

by Dr. D ~ July 26th, 2016

Jacques-Hamel

Two knife wielding ISIS inspired Muslims attacked a church in Normandy, France during morning Mass and slit the throat of the priest and held the attendees hostage. Here’s the story from UK Daily Mail:

A priest has been ‘beheaded’ by two ISIS knifemen who cut his throat after bursting into a French church and taking nuns and worshippers hostage before being shot dead by police.

Five people including the 86-year-old priest, two nuns and two parishioners were held by assailants who raided the church in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray near Rouen in Normandy at 9am.

The clergyman, named as Jacques Hamel, is believed to have been beheaded during the attack while another hostage is fighting for life in hospital.

The two attackers were ‘neutralised’ by marksmen as they emerged from the building, which is now being searched for explosives. French president Francois  Hollande said the men ‘claimed to be from’ ISIS while the terror group has claimed responsibility through its news agency.

Response: The ISIS ‘inspired’ Muslim violence continues in France and Europe. Some of the main stream media accounts continue to question the motives of the attackers in spite of the fact that they shouted to the hostages that they were acting in the name of ISIS? Also, apparently the church was on a ‘kill list’ of people and places that ISIS had designated for attack.

If this had happened in a church in America, President Obama along with the major media would also wonder about the motives of the two individual criminals while noting that no ‘official’ ties to ISIS or any other Muslim terrorist group had been uncovered by investigators in spite of what the perpetrators might have claimed.

I still do not understand how there can be any question about ‘motives’ when the attackers made it very clear that they were acting in the name of ISIS. Meanwhile, ISIS continues to call upon faithful Muslims to attack and even provides ‘kill lists’ and this particular church was on one of those lists. Nevertheless, some authorities and media folks still continue to search for motives or reasons that do not include radical Islam and ISIS?

One interesting feature of this attack is the use of knives rather than guns. In many terrorist events in America, the guns have become the issue that the press and the current administration have focused on rather than any possible connection to radical Islam.

The really scary thing is that a similar attack on a church and its members might well happen in America. Churches along with pastors and members are actually on a ‘kill list’ that ISIS has already published and designated for attacks by ‘faithful’ Muslims in this country.
