-UPDATE: According to Pentagon the ‘Hate Group’ Label of Christian Organizations Not Official

An update from the Pentagon confirms something we already knew- the recent labeling of Christian groups as ‘Hate groups’ can not be official policy. Here’s the story from Citizen Link:

The Pentagon said Tuesday the information displayed in a recent Army briefing that called two well-known Christian ministries “domestic hate groups” was not from official sources and “does not reflect Army doctrine,” according to Fox News.

The briefing identified the Family Research Council (FRC) and the American Family Association (AFA). The groups were wrongly highlighted during a briefing for active duty military and reservists at Camp Shelby in Mississippi. The meeting included a slide presentation on organizations the Army considers dangerous. AFA and FRC were listed alongside the Klan and Neo Nazis.

Response: We noted in our post about this issue that the Pentagon would deny that this was official policy nor could it be. However, there are far to many situations like this to be entirely innocent and accidental. At the very least there are some powerful folks in the military that would like to oppose Christianity and limit the religious freedoms of Christians in the U.S. military if it were possible.  See our numerous articles on this issue at the end of our recent post linked above.             *Top
