Only a handful of people actually showed up for the so-called “Million Muslim March” yesterday on 9/11 in Washington DC. Here’s the story from the Huffington Post:
An event initially billed as the "Million Muslim March" and set to be held in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, is set to fall far short of its attendance goal. …
Update: Turns out it was more like 20 people. The "2 Million Bikers" event, on the other hand, had a much larger turnout than initially expected.

Response: It was huge mistake and miscalculation to hold a Muslim ‘civil rights’ march on the anniversary of 9/11. It was supposed to be about countering inaccurate depictions of Islam and Muslims but came off as an ‘in your face’ moment regardless of the original intentions. The fact that only a handful showed up is a testimony that most American Muslims have far more common sense than those who promoted the event.
Ironically, thousands of bikers did show up displaying American flags as a counter demonstration to the scheduled Muslim march that never materialized. *Top
