From CitizenLink:

Newly elected Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a lawsuit against a florist in Richland, Washington, because she declined to provide floral arrangements to a same-sex wedding ceremony.

Arlene’s Flowers is a small business whose owner, Barronelle Stutzman, had served this customer for years.  She knew he was gay, and it was never an issue, because she’s happy to serve everybody.

But she isn’t willing to lend her services to every activity, and when it came to a same-sex wedding, she just couldn’t do it.   According to her statement, she explained herself, he said he respected it; they hugged and he left.  …

The suit asks the florist to promise to never again be so naughty and pay a fine of $2,000 for stepping out of line.

Response: Another example where Christians are being forced to compromise their faith, beliefs, and convictions or face fines, lawsuits, and trouble with the government. In this case the florist believes in traditional marriage due to her religious convictions and does not support the same-sex kind and therefore does not want to participate in it. She has also served the gay person many times in the past so this is not really about discrimination but religious conscience.

We have documented other cases where Christian printers and bakers have also been sued in different states also for not wanting to participate in same-sex marriages by providing their services.

Cases like these are situations and examples of conflicting civil rights. Progressive government authorities in these cases are responding to political correctness and choosing to promote same-sex marriage as a greater civil right than freedom of religion. Though religious freedom is actually named and supported in the 1st Amendment of the Constitution. They call it a case of discrimination but who is really being discriminated against?

If this trend continues and expands all across the nation then it will become increasingly difficult for Christians with strongly held views to actually continue to be in certain businesses where their religious convictions and conscience would potentially be under assault. This means that in the future, America will no longer be a nation where people of faith may be able to pursue their happiness through some of the careers and businesses of their choice.            *Top

The goal here, as indicted not only by this case, by certain regulations of the Obama administration, and by other circumstances, is to compel Christians to restrict their religion to the four walls of a church and to “conform” to the mandates of secular society when outside a church.

In other words, this is not an isolated case, but is an unspoken public policy goal of the liberal left.

I believe you are entirely correct and that is why I continue to expose stories like this with the hope that the sleeping giant -American Christians will rise up before it’s too late.

In order to change America and bring about their progressive agenda, Conservative Christians have to be completely defeated and pushed out of the way. The Constitution in standing in the way right now so religious liberty must be reinterpreted to apply only to churches and what happens only in places of worship. At this point their strategy seems to be working and will succeed unless people of faith finally wake up.
