-Hotel Bibles Replaced with ‘Fifty Shades Of Grey’?

A British hotel has replaced the ubiquitous nightstand Bible with something a bit more modern: "Fifty Shades Of Grey."
The irony is that the Damson Dene Hotel, located in England’s Lake District, was purchased from a Methodist group 10 years ago, reports MSNBC. Its owner, Jonathan Denby, apparently thought it inappropriate to distribute Bibles in today’s secular society.
Response: Is this where we now are in Western culture? The Bible is considered to be too controversial “in today’s secular society” for a hotel room but a controversial highly sexualized novel is OK because ‘people are talking about it right now’? Incredible!
So now when hotel guests reach for timeless inspiration or guidance they will now get a timely dose of sexual fantasies instead? Wonderful. A sign of the Times? Now both the culture and the economy of the West are in free-fall. One wonders where it will all end? Except I have read the back of the book- the one taken out of the hotel. *Top
