According to The Iranian news agency: On Sunday, three gay men were executed in Iran by hanging for “forbidden acts against religion”:

“Iran Human Rights explains that the state-run Iranian news agency ISNA reported that the men were put to death for acts against sharia, “based on the articles 108 and 110 of the Iranian Islamic penal code.”

Articles 108 and 110 of the penal code are part of the chapter covering the punishment of sodomy, according to Iran Human Rights.”

Response: Remember back in 2007 when Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claimed that there were no homosexuals in Iran?

Well this is why. It is against Sharia law and those caught are executed, like in this case, for “forbidden acts against religion.”

This is another example of why Sharia is ultimately dangerous. I can’t believe all of the misguided progressives that seem to think that Sharia is nothing more than a different version of Kosher. The reality is something different. Take a look at every country where it dominates the legal system. Women and children have very few rights and homosexuals have none at all, minority religions are discriminated against and those who convert are killed or imprisoned,

While some folks in America are over the top in opposition to all things Muslim and full Constitutional rights of ‘freedom of religion’ should be granted to Islam. Nevertheless, there are aspects of Islamic Sharia that can never be allowed in this country.

Hopefully we don’t follow in the footsteps of Europe and, in the name of multi-culturalism, tolerate an alternate sharia jurisprudence which is informally allowed to exist in Muslim ghettos and communities where the police will not even go. Where women have fewer rights than in the rest of the country and ‘honor killings’ are common. Where those who convert run for their lives and where homosexuals seem to ‘disappear’. All under the banner of  ‘freedom of religion’ and multi-cultural toleration.               *Top
