-Should the USA Support Homosexual Rights in Pakistan?

Recently (June 26) the American embassy in Islamabad,  Pakistan hosted a meeting, attended by more than 75 people, that was meant to show support for the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) folks in Pakistan. At the time U.S. deputy ambassador, Richard Hoagland stated:

“I want to be clear: the U.S. Embassy is here to support you and stand by your side every step of the way.”

The meeting has now become a major controversy in that country nearly reaching the same level of our clandestine action to take out Osama bin Laden. Dozens of key Political and Muslim leaders in that country have condemned the USA for the meeting and some are even calling for the participants to be arrested and imprisoned:

“Such people are the curse of society and social garbage,” said the statement issued by the Islamic officials on Sunday. “They don’t deserve to be Muslim or Pakistani, and the support and protection announced by the U.S. administration for them is the worst social and cultural terrorism against Pakistan.”

Homosexuality remains illegal in Pakistan and penalties vary from whipping, imprisonment or even death. Most of the time suspected violators are subjected to local vigilantism that rarely ends in formal arrests and trials.

Response: Should the USA support homosexual rights in Pakistan?

Yes.

I believe that we should be supporting and standing up for minority rights of all kind in that oppressive country. Particularly the rights of Pakistani Christians who are constantly being subjected to persecution on many different levels.

As most of my usual readers know, this is a conservative Christian website which supports a Christian world view that is usually at odds with the homosexual LGBT agenda in the USA. However, when it comes to basic human rights and freedoms, we believe that they should be granted to all.

However, a well publicized ‘party’ may not have been the best tactic for our embassy to use in a never ending battle to secure basic rights for all in the very Islamic Republic of  Pakistan.             *Top

Pig is a shameless animal and whosoever eats its meat genetically becomes so. He/she then does nt mind what is going on with regard to matters of dirty sex with his/her person and even with the children. Displaying naked body means loosing the dignity in character, honour and prestige which great people like to keep intact. Pious people believe that promoting homosexuality is just to destroy the society and social values which of course is evident from our surroundings the world over. Instead of spending on this menace they should do something for those who besides loosing their hands, legs, eyes etc also lost their near and dear ones in Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world. Today mankind needs mercy, patience and development and not the dirty games.
