-UPDATE: Navy Reverses Policy on ‘Gay Marriages’

The U.S. Navy rescinded its new policy of allowing chaplains to perform "same-sex marriages" on bases when the ban on homosexuality (DADT) in the military is lifted.
According to reports, more than 63 members of Congress complained that the new policy would violate the federal Defense of Marriage Act which is still the law of the land.
Response: That didn’t take long. The Obama administration would have never required the change but Congress has the job of overseeing the budget for the Navy so guess who won out on this issue. Plus any potential promotions for admirals must also be okd by Congress. *Top
