The Vatican newspaper has declared that Homer and Bart Simpson are Catholic citing a 2005 episode when the father and son supposedly converted.
Al Jean the producer of “The Simpsons” TV show pointed out that the Simpson family attends the First Church of Springfield "which is decidedly Presbylutheran."
Response: First the Pontiff tries to sign up a bunch of Anglicans in England and now “The Simpsons”?
I say if the Pope want to claim this family as representatives of his church then let him.
Though I have a few grandchildren that might beg to differ I say ‘good riddance’. *Top of the Blog
