-Man Stabbed for Making Fun of Vampire ‘Religion’?

Here’s a strange case from Arizona that sounds like something out of a movie and perfect for the Halloween season.

In fact the latest Vampire movie craze may have led to a new sub-culture in America among young people who claim to practice a combination of some form of vampirism and pagan religion.

The case revolves around Robert Maley, 25, who was apparently stabbed after refusing to let his roommates suck his blood.

Maley was staying with two friends, Aaron Homer, 24, and Amanda Williamson, 21, at an apartment in Chandler, Arizona and said that he had previously allowed the couple to suck his blood on several occasions, but wasn’t in the mood to put up with it Monday.

Aaron Homer then became enraged and stabbed Maley. Later Homer told the police that he stabbed Maley because he was making fun of his religion.

The police are concerned that the popularity of television shows like HBO’s True Blood and the Stephenie Meyer novels and film series Twilight may be leading young people into cult practices that are dangerous and unhealthy.

I would say that in this case ‘dangerous and unhealthy’ would be an understatement. The fact that these young people believe that they are practicing some kind of ‘religion’ is also disturbing.            *Top of the Blog
