-Millionaire Michael Moore: ‘Capitalism Did Nothing For Me’—Really?

by Dr. D ~ October 1st, 2009

Millionaire Filmmaker Michael Moore said in an interview with CNSNews.com just before the premiere of his upcoming documentary, “Capitalism: A Love Story":

‘Capitalism Did Nothing For Me’

In the interview it was pointed out that he had amassed an estimated $ 50 Million fortune through the Western capitalist economic system yet that was his response.

Response: I am not writing here to sing the praises of capitalism. I think it was Winston Churchill who said: ”the capitalist system is the worst—except for all the others” (or something close to that). However, it does seem to go hand in hand and work the best in countries with political freedom.

I do believe that Michael Moore is rather disingenuous. Does anyone really believe that a man who has been so critical of the powers that be in his films could have been allowed to ply his work anywhere else but in the capitalist West? How would’ve his diatribes gone over with the Red Chinese if he was critical of their government or even any country in the Middle East if he chose to be critical of Islam? How long would he have lasted lambasting Putin and the Russian Czars?

No, it is only in the self flagellating capitalist West that a Michael Moore could have ever succeeded.            *Top

Michael Moore contradicts himself and still he thinks he is an intellectual. Any school kid can easily find out his hypocrisy. He is a third rate public figure praised by fourth rate people.
