-Merry ‘Day Without a Gay’?
by Dr. D ~ December 10th, 2008
I bet that you thought this was ‘hump’ day like most Wednesdays? No, today, Wednesday Dec. 10, 2008, marks the first national ‘Day Without a Gay’. It is sure to be just as successful as a ‘day without illegals’.
There’s been a lot of anger in the gay community since the passage of Prop. 8 in California. Many activists have turned to picketing Mormon temples, crashing Christian services, or boycotting businesses that supported the traditional marriage amendment.
The ‘Day Without a Gay’ is intended to show the impact of gays in America by skipping work, refraining from spending money, and by spending the day volunteering and serving in the community.
Actually I commend the organizers. This is far better for their cause than continuing to persecute Mormons or acting out their frustrations in more destructive and offensive ways. *Top
