-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 41-48 (Waw)

by Dr. D ~ October 2nd, 2020
Waw

41 Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord, even thy salvation, according to thy word.

42 So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word.

43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.

44 So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.

45 And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts.

46 I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.

47 And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.

48 My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Let your mercies come to us, O Lord and salvation through your Son Jesus Christ. According to your word and promises all who have faith in Him are adopted into your family and will receive eternal life. We will speak of your mercies and grace forever and be your servants and witnesses before kings, rulers, and regular folks and family in this life and the life to come.

You have told us in the past to seek first your Kingdom. Let that be an increasing reality in our lives. Let us be part of those in your church who spread the Word of your Kingdom in every country and wherever we may go while we still have breath and can still speak. Let us also see revival in our own nation while there is yet day.

In the meantime, we will meditate on your Word and lift our hands up in worship and bow our heads in prayer honoring you every day of our lives. We will rejoice and sing praises regardless of our circumstances until we meet your Son Jesus in the air. When all of your Word will be fulfilled and the whole world will be blessed as your Kingdom comes and your will is done on earth as it is in Heaven.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 33-40 (He)

by Dr. D ~ October 1st, 2020

He

33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.

34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.

35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.

38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.

40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Teach us, O Lord, your ways, and your statutes; that we may walk in them all the days of our lives. Give us understanding, that we may observe your teaching and demonstrate your love with our whole heart. Lead us in the paths of your commandments, for we delight in your paths. Incline our hearts to treasure your testimonies and creative works of the past and the blessings that you have given us in this life and the hope of the eternal life to come.

Through the help of your Holy Spirit, write your teaching on our hearts that we might observe them daily and that they may become a natural part of our daily lives. Inspire us O Lord to become your faithful servants and fulfill the destiny you have for us and your church.

Let us have a part in the great world-wide harvest in this generation and let us see revival and a new awakening in this nation. Bring healing to America with love and peace in our streets instead of the chaos and violence we are now experiencing in our cities. We want to see the banner of your Son Jesus flying over our land once more from sea to shining sea.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 25-32 (Daleth)

by Dr. D ~ September 30th, 2020
Daleth

25 My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.

26 I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.

28 My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.

29 Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.

30 I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me.

31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord, put me not to shame.

32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart.  (KJV)

Our Father,

We have chosen the way of faithfulness; by your Holy Spirit enliven your Word and teachings within us and help them to become a reality in our daily lives. Help us to overcome the teachings and philosophies of the world and put them far away from our lives.

Let your Kingdom come down in our midst and let our hearts be enlarged to bring the message of your Kingdom to every nation, people, and tongue. Let your kingdom light be reflected in our lives and demonstrate your message and gospel to the World. Let miracles and signs confirm your ‘good news’ message and let us make disciples of your Son Jesus where ever we go: whether it is where we work, the communities where we live, or to the nations.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 17-24 (Gimel)

by Dr. D ~ September 29th, 2020

Gimel

17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Open our eyes, that we may see the wondrous things you have for us in your Word. We are but strangers on this earth since we are really members of your family and Kingdom through your Son Jesus.

Your Holy Spirit is our delight, daily showing us the path for us to travel on. Please, through your Spirit cause us to remember the testimony of your Word; the very passages we need every day to fulfill what you have called us to become.

Let your Kingdom come down in our midst and let your will be done in our lives; bring revival to your church and to this nation. Let us take your Word and testimony to the nations, every people and tongue, and prepare us to become more fully the body of Christ while there is yet day.

Let us fulfill our destiny and become part of that glorious coming of your Son Jesus in the clouds. We are looking forward to that day when your Kingdom becomes a complete reality on the earth as it is in Heaven. When there shall no loner be sickness or hunger. When all of the chains shall be broken and justice will reign with your Son Jesus in our midst.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 9-16 (Beth)

by Dr. D ~ September 28th, 2020

Beth

9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

12 Blessed art thou, O Lord: teach me thy statutes.

13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.

14 I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches.

15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways.

16 I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.  (KJV)

Our Father,

With our whole hearts we have sought you: O let us not wander from your commandments. We have hidden your Word in our hearts that we might not sin against you. Blessed are you and your Son Jesus: teach us your statutes.

Let your Holy Spirit guide us as we meditate on your Word and learn your ways. Let us learn to delight in your commandments and not in the ways of the world but learn to seek your Kingdom. Write your Word upon our hearts and by your Holy Spirit teach us and guide us daily toward our callings and destinies.

Let your church rise up in this critical hour; let your servants take your Word and Good News to every nation, people, and tongue. Let this nation, which use to honor you, find its way back and let a new awakening break out beginning with those of us who claim the name of your Son Jesus. Let us be good examples of how blessed it is to follow your teaching and let us bless the lives of those all around us in your name.

Let us bring love where there is hate, peace in the middle of strife, and blessing rather than condemnation. For you did not send your Son into the world to condemn but to bring salvation. Let us be agents of your Good News and love and demonstrate it to everyone we come in contact with daily.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #119: 1-8 (Aleph)

by Dr. D ~ September 25th, 2020

Aleph

119 Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.

2 Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.

3 They also do no iniquity: they walk in his ways.

4 Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently.

5 O that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!

6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.

7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

8 I will keep thy statutes: O forsake me not utterly.  (KJV)

Our Father,

Thou hast commanded us to keep thy precepts diligently. O may our ways be directed daily by your Spirit to more closely follow and respect your teaching and statutes.

O Lord help us  to learn your ways and not just your commands. We need your word and teachings to be instilled within our hearts. We may continue to fail you but we are thankful that you have blessed us and shown us the way of repentance through your Son Jesus. By your Holy Spirit and grace we grow closer to you and improve on our obedience to your word and our lives are better in the process.

Let us become better examples as followers of your Son Jesus and let our testimonies be effective in bringing more folks to worship you in his name. Instill within us the want to serve you daily with all of our hearts and fulfill the destiny and plans that you have for us.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #118

by Dr. D ~ September 24th, 2020

118 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

4 Let them now that fear the Lord say, that his mercy endureth for ever.

5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.

6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

7 The Lord taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.

8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

9 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord will I destroy them.

11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

12 They compassed me about like bees: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the Lord helped me.

14 The Lord is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.

15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

16 The right hand of the Lord is exalted: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.

17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

18 The Lord hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the Lord:

20 This gate of the Lord, into which the righteous shall enter.

21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.

22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.

23 This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.

24 This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord.

27 God is the Lord, which hath showed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

29 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.  (KJV)

Our Father,

We give thanks to you O Lord, for you are good and your love and mercy endures forever. Let all those who know and fear you proclaim: “His mercy endureth for ever.”

Out of our distress we called on you and you answered us and set us free. With you on our side; we will not fear. What can anyone do to us? With you on our side as a helper;
we shall triumph over the evil one and all those who oppose us and the calling you have placed upon our lives.

It is better to take refuge in you than trust in anyone on earth; It is better to take refuge in you than trust in government leaders or politicians. You are our strength and our song; our hope and our salvation. Even death and taxes will not prevail; all of us who are called by the name of your Son Jesus will live free in your Kingdom forever, and therefore we will recount your deeds of love and mercy forevermore.

Open to us O Lord the gates of your Kingdom and bring it down now in our midst so that we can give thanks to you. Let your presence lift us up in order to become the people we are called to be. In order to bring your Word and Kingdom message to all the world; every nation, people, and tongue.

Thanks for letting your light shine upon us and for bringing us your salvation; blessed is he who comes in the clouds for us; your Son Jesus who will rule the whole world and bring healing, prosperity and freedom to all. We look for that day and praise your name in the meantime; for this is the day that you have made for us; We will rejoice and be glad in it.

We give thanks to you O Lord, for you are good and your love and mercy endures forever.

In Jesus name, Amen

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #117

by Dr. D ~ September 23rd, 2020

17 O praise the Lord, all ye nations:

praise him, all ye people.

2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us:

and the truth of the Lord endureth for ever.

Praise ye the Lord.  (KJV)

Our Father,

May all nations and peoples praise your name. For great is your steadfast love toward everyone, and your faithfulness endures forever.

The day is coming soon when your Son will appear in the clouds to establish your Kingdom on the earth. Then the law will come out of Jerusalem and healing and prosperity will flow forth from Zion and peace will finally prevail around the world. In that day every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord and your Word will be fulfilled and your glory will be magnified in all the earth.

Until that day, let your Word go forth to the nations and let your church rise up and fulfill its destiny with folks from every nation and people joining together taking upon them the name of your Son Jesus. Let a Great Harvest be a reality in this generation and let your servants rejoice for now and forevermore.

In Jesus name, Amen.

-Praying Thru the Psalms: #116

by Dr. D ~ September 22nd, 2020

116 I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

2 Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

3 The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

4 Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

6 The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7 Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

9 I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

16 O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.

18 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

19 In the courts of the Lord’s house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.  (KJV)

Our Father,

We praise your name Lord because you have listened to our pleas in the past and have saved us through the mercies extended to us by the sacrifice of your Son Jesus. You are gracious, righteous, and merciful to all those who believe on the name of your Son.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

You have said in your Word that the lives of the saints are precious in your sight.  We now pray for those who are paying the ultimate price for their faith and their families which are being slaughtered and sold into slavery. Rise up O Lord and bring relief to your servants in the Middle East and in Africa that are being brutally killed and sacrificed because they refuse to convert to a false religion, a false book, and a false prophet.

Let those who survive receive mercy and let the perpetrators find the truth and let them be converted to Jesus to replace those they have killed. Bring revival among the survivors and an awakening to the light and truth among the terrorists who are slaughtering your people. Turn it all upside down on the evil one who is the real enemy.

In Jesus name, Amen.
