-Praying Psalm 119:105-112

by Dr. D ~ November 3rd, 2015

105 Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path.
106 I have sworn an oath and confirmed it,
to keep your righteous rules.
107 I am severely afflicted;
give me life, O Lord, according to your word!
108 Accept my freewill offerings of praise, O Lord,
and teach me your rules.
109 I hold my life in my hand continually,
but I do not forget your law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me,
but I do not stray from your precepts.
111 Your testimonies are my heritage forever,
for they are the joy of my heart.
112 I incline my heart to perform your statutes
forever, to the end.[9]    (ESV)

Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem of twenty-two stanzas, following the letters of the Hebrew alphabet; within a stanza, each verse begins with the same Hebrew letter

9.  Or statutes; the reward is eternal

Our Father,

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path and your Holy Spirit enlivens your teaching within me daily. The testimonies in your Word bring hope and joy to my heart. Lord help me to continually live according to your Word and help me avoid the snares of the enemy.

May your church also be revived by your Word in the midst of this falling culture. Let your Kingdom be reflected in our leaders and let your kingdom culture be reflected increasingly among those who are called by the name of your Son Jesus.

Let your Spirit go forth among the nations and bring on a great harvest. Let your Spirit also go forth in this nation and turn it around. Let revival begin and a new awakening dawn upon America. Let  signs and wonders confirm your Word to a nation that is now ignoring it or even reviling your teachings. Let it begin with the church and let it rise up from its partnership with a dead and dying culture and let it come to life in Your Spirit.

In Jesus name, Amen.
