-Praying Psalm 119:97-104

by Request ~ November 2nd, 2015

97 Oh how I love your law!
It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies,
for it is ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers,
for your testimonies are my meditation.
100 I understand more than the aged,[8]
for I keep your precepts.
101 I hold back my feet from every evil way,
in order to keep your word.
102 I do not turn aside from your rules,
for you have taught me.
103 How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth!
104 Through your precepts I get understanding;
therefore I hate every false way.  (ESV)

Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem of twenty-two stanzas, following the letters of the Hebrew alphabet; within a stanza, each verse begins with the same Hebrew letter

8.  Or the elders

Our Father,

I Praise your name O Lord and thank you for your Word and your Holy Spirit.

O how I love you Word; through your Holy Spirit I study it and meditate on it daily; it teaches me what I need to know daily. Your Spirit and Word teaches me like no worldly teacher can about life and how to live it abundantly and to the fullest.

Your Word and Spirit are the light on my path that keeps me from evil and shows me the way of truth. In the midst of daily prayer and meditation on your Word your Spirit gives me vision and purpose and shows me the direction of my destiny and calling. Without your Word and Spirit I am nothing and can do nothing of lasting value.

I Praise your name O Lord and thank you for your Word and your Holy Spirit.

In Jesus name, Amen,
