-Praying Psalm 119:65-72

by Request ~ October 27th, 2015

Teth

65 You have dealt well with your servant,
O Lord, according to your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge,
for I believe in your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray,
but now I keep your word.
68 You are good and do good;
teach me your statutes.
69 The insolent smear me with lies,
but with my whole heart I keep your precepts;
70 their heart is unfeeling like fat,
but I delight in your law.
71 It is good for me that I was afflicted,
that I might learn your statutes.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me
than thousands of gold and silver pieces.  (ESV)

Footnote:

Psalm 119 is an acrostic poem of twenty-two stanzas, following the letters of the Hebrew alphabet; within a stanza, each verse begins with the same Hebrew letter

Our Father,

Your Word is better than thousands of gold and silver pieces. By your Holy Spirit instill it in our hearts and teach us your ways, good judgment, and the knowledge and wisdom that we need to serve you and your Son Jesus in this generation.

Let your Kingdom come down in our midst and transform us into worthy servants able to carry on the tasks before us. We are call to make disciples of every nation, tongue, and people. But these are dangerous times and this can only be done with your supernatural help.

There are those following the evil one who are trying to stop us from fulfilling our destiny. There is even conflict within your church itself making it more difficult for faithful servants to bear your Kingdom message in this generation. Let your faithful followers receive discernment as never before to judge between false teaching and false accusations against your work and servants.

Let your Word go forth with miracles and signs following; let the great harvest be a reality among the nations. Let the faithful rejoice and see revival in the sleeping church of this generation.

In Jesus name, Amen.
