Dear brother and sister in the Lord,

I have these 2 prayers for my children. First, just a few sentences to introduce myself. I accepted Christ when I was 20 and gave my heart and life to Him when I was 22. Now I am 52 and still serving the Lord. However, I married a drug addict and was divorced about 15 years after the marriage. I worked as a psychologist all these years and also teaching in colleges in Canada and in Hong Kong. I should say, I have 3 prayer requests because I am also seeking the Lord in my service for Him and in my career.

Now the 2 prayers for my children:

1) I want to pray for my older son David. He was into heroin, cocaine, beer, alcohol, marijuana, ecstasy. Right now he is working as mechanic but could not keep his job for long. He apparently was delivered from most drugs and is getting much closer to God now, praise God, but he has one (or two) things he still has problems with – beer and alcohol. Please pray that God will change him to hate these things, love Him, serve Him, give his life to Him. Please pray that God will heal him of any emotional hurts he has from his dad who has abused him and then given him up when he was 11 or 12. David has received Christ and baptized in water a year ago.

2) I want to pray for my son Gideon. He was spoilt by his dad with money/allowance all along. As a result, he did not bother to work and is very selfish. Much like his dad’s character, he would take advantage of others as far as possible so that he does not have to work himself. His heart towards God is hardened now though it was once very soft and had chosen to be baptized in water when he was 12. He is now 22. He only cares about entertainment and had been into videogames, though he claimed he is not into it much anymore. Please pray that God will soften his heart, make him come back and lead him to a career.

Thank you so very much for all your prayers!! May God richly bless you and continue to use you for His kingdom’s sake!!
