Today (Wednesday 5/6) Maine Gov. John Baldacci signed the legislation shortly after the Maine legislature passed a bill allowing Same-sex marriage in the state. May 5, 2009 – In a 12-1 vote, the District of Columbia City Council today passed a bill that would recognize same-sex marriages performed elsewhere in the U.S.

Monday, the White house had its annual Easter egg roll. However, the Obama’s have turned it into a PC opportunity. Traditionally folks have to wait in line to receive tickets for the event. New policies implemented by the Obama White House reserved designated tickets for ‘Special groups’.
