A Federal judge ruled in favor of a high school student who was kicked out of class and threatened with a suspension for stating that as a Catholic he was offended by the gay and lesbian lifestyle. Here’s the story from LifeSite News:
A judge has ruled in favor of a student who sued after he was thrown out of class by a gay activist teacher for expressing his religious beliefs against the homosexual lifestyle.
Federal District Judge Patrick J. Duggan of the Eastern District of Michigan declared the teacher’s actions in punishing Daniel Glowacki violated his First Amendment Rights.
"While the Court certainly recognizes that schools are empowered to regulate speech to prevent students from invading the rights of other students, people do not have a legal right to prevent criticism of their beliefs or for that matter their way of life," Judge Duggan stated in his decision.
"Simply put, the law does not establish a generalized hurt feelings defense to a high school’s violation of the First Amendment rights of its students."
Response: See the short video above for a summary of events in this eye-opening horrific story. Then ask yourself what you would do if one of your children were subjected to this kind of treatment by a teacher and a school and then dragged out publically on radio and TV and called a bigot?
The teacher- Johnson McDowell was a gay activist promoting his own beliefs in a class room and subjecting a room full of high school students with his own biased propaganda. When he asked one of the students- Daniel Glowacki about his feelings about homosexuality all heck broke loose when Daniel responded that it was against his Catholic beliefs and he was thrown out of the class and threatened with a suspension.
Later the teacher went on radio and TV making Daniel out to be an evil homophobic bigot. Then special school meetings were held to support the teacher and the homosexual lifestyle to combat homophobia among the students with Daniel as the prime example for why the sessions were needed.
Daniel and his mother ended up suing both the high school and the teacher and were represented in court by The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC). The law suit sought a change in school policies and a declaration that the actions violated the Constitution.
It is now time for Christian parents to become even more aware of what is happening to their children in public school. In California it is now a law that from 1st grade on students are to be taught to understand and respect the homosexual and LGBT lifestyles. Your children need to be prepared for the onslaught of propaganda but also to be open to come to you if they feel that their rights are being violated in any way. *Top
