-Hateful Westboro ‘Baptist Church’ Plans to Picket Steve Jobs’ Funeral

The hateful Phelps family from Kansas that call themselves the Westboro ‘Baptist Church’ has announced that they plan to picket Steve Job’s funeral. Not only that, they used an iPhone to twitter their plans.
Margie Phelps, daughter of the church’s founder, tweeted their plans Wednesday night ironically using her iPhone:
“Westboro will picket his funeral. He had a huge platform; gave God no glory & taught sin.”
She also tweeted the following in response to the criticism for using an iPhone in the process:
“Rebels mad cuz I used iPhone to tell you Steve Jobs is in hell. God created iPhone for that purpose!”
The Phelps family is notorious for picketing military funerals, high-profile events, gay pride gatherings and even large Christian events in order to proclaim their hateful judgment on America and particularly homosexuals. Earlier this year in March, the US Supreme Court ruled that this despicable group could continue to picket military funerals as a matter of free- speech rights which are guaranteed in the Constitution.
Though they style themselves as a ‘church’, they are not part of any denomination or larger ‘Baptist’ organization.
Response: Another case where this hateful bunch is violating the teaching of Jesus. He taught his followers to love their neighbors and even pray for their enemies. This self-styled group of religious nuts goes out of their way to alienate everyone -believers and unbelievers.
Meanwhile, they arrogantly proclaim judgment in the name of God. One wonders what their eternal reward will be for distorting the Gospel message in such an obvious way. One also wonders how many people they have turned-off towards receiving the genuine Christian message because of their outrageous hateful antics. *Top
