Around 40,000 folks participated in a 2.5-mile march for Pro-Life walk along the waterfront in San Francisco on Saturday (1/22/11). It was the 7th annual Walk for Life West Coast which was held on the 38th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision (Roe v. Wade) that legalized abortion.
The Walk for Life West Coast is a San Francisco Bay area group founded in 2005 “to change the perceptions of a society that thinks abortion is the answer” particularly in the liberal Bay area.
A much larger March for Life in Washington, D.C. today (Monday) is expected to draw at least 300,000 participants.
Response: There were an abundance of younger people at this event. This demonstrates the growing pro-life movement in America- even in liberal bastions like the San Francisco Bay area.
