-Sandra Bullock Wins an Oscar
by Dr. D ~ March 8th, 2010
Congratulations to Sandra Bullock for her well deserved Oscar as Best Actress in a Leading Role. Her portrayal of a wealthy Southern white Christian housewife who raises a homeless black kid in The Blind Side is one of the best that I have ever seen. If someone would have told me that Bullock was up for this kind of performance I would have doubted their credibility. However She made a believer out of me in this movie.
I found myself rooting for her during the Oscars with little hope that she would win considering it was a ‘feel good’ movie with all sorts of Christians overtones and themes. Plus it was a true story to boot. To see her overcome some of these ‘liabilities’ from a Hollywood perspective was gratifying to say the least.

I work in a Christian Book store full time. From what I see in the Christian public people are in love with Sandra. She has gained a whole new realm of fans and many of them are praying for her. This movie was a win win fro her in many ways.

I loved this movie, and I love Sandra Bullock. It’s nice to see that Hollywood isn’t completely numb to a movie that portrays grace and redemption in such a positive message.

Thanks Billy for your comments.
I like Sandra Bullock in nearly everything she has done. I hope success doesn’t ruin her. I think she is really talented in comedy. Now she has proven herself in drama also it will be interesting to watch what parts she accepts in the future.

Thanks Rhea for the comments and info. It is great to see that a Hollywood actress in not afraid to play a good Christian character. So many would not consider it.
