-Cute Little Church on the Prairie but No Pastor
by Dr. D ~ May 13th, 2009
Here’s an article I’ve been hanging on to from Time Magazine: “Rural Churches Grapple with a Pastor Exodus”
The article documents the problems that many churches and denominations are having right now replacing Pastors in rural America. The churches in smaller towns can’t give enough support to attract young pastors and their families. Many are having to share their pastors with a number of other churches in the area.
Soon middle America that was always characterized by its strong connection to Christianity and conservative values may no longer exist. The changes taking place in rural America–Iowa, Kansas and other farming states could forever change America. *Top

Praise God for the return of the lay minister.

Amen-that is the answer Carl but many denominations don’t see it unfortunately.
