-The Worst Violators of ‘Religious Freedom’

Announced on Friday March 27,2009: the U.S. State Department designated the following eight nations as “countries of particular concern” because of their religious freedom violations:
Burma, China, Eritrea, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan
All of these same countries have been on this infamous list since 2006. There are many other countries that nearly made the list, but these are the worst of the worst.
Response: Notice that half of these are Muslim Countries. Also note that the US has strained relations with all of them except Saudi Arabia.
Many religious leaders have called on the government to put pressure on our supposed Saudi friends to no avail. We have posted more than a dozen articles on some of the strange actions taken by their ‘religious police’ and their barbaric interpretations of sharia law.
Particularly disturbing is the fact that Christian churches, worship, and even Bible studies are not allowed in the country even in private homes. Also, it is illegal to wear or display a cross, or even come into the country with a Christian Bible. At least many have reported having their Bibles confiscated. *Top
