-Poll: 82% of Americans think Abortion Should be Limited
by Dr. D ~ January 6th, 2009
According to a nationwide survey involving a cross-section of Americans, 82 percent think that abortion should be legally limited and only 9% percent held that abortion should be legal for any reason during all phases of pregnancy.
The poll was commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops in order to better understand the current views of Americans on abortion.
The survey also shows that 75% favor a parental role in minors obtaining abortions and 65% favor laws against partial-birth abortion.
The Bishops plan on sending a copy of the recent poll to President-elect Obama and every member of Congress.
Response: This comes at a time when the major media and the intelligentsia in this country insist that abortion is supported by the majority. Apparently this is not the case among the regular folks. *Top
