One Korean Hostage Killed
by Dr. D ~ July 25th, 2007
The Taliban killed one of the 23 Korean hostages and threatened to kill more if their demands were not met.
The victim was identified by South Korean officials as Bae Hyung Kyu, 42, the leader of the Korean relief group. Bae was reportedly a youth pastor and and assistant at Saemmul Community Church in Bundang, South Korea. He had been shot repeatedly with numerous wound to his body.
Comments: This action of the Taliban is barbaric and unconscionable. By all reports, these young Koreans were in Afghanistan in order to help people, which speaks well of their Christian background and religion. The Taliban on the other hand, is an example of the very worst that their religion has to offer. Unfortunately, this kind of behavior is all too common in Islam. *Top
