The Shifting Center of Christianity

The 20th century and early 21st has seen the center of Christianity shift from the West (Europe and North America) to places like Korea, Africa and South America. It has truly become a world religion and former missions have matured and become centers of the Christian faith. In turn sending out their own missionaries and raising up their own scholars and seminaries, changing the face of many denominations and adapting the Christian message to many diverse cultures and situations.
Read the following article from Christianity Today: It is about this shift and one of the first scholars to observe this change first hand and write about it: Andrew Walls of the University of Edinburgh, founder of the Centre for the Study of Christianity in the Non-Western World.
Good article, this should help shake you from some of your provincial Western-Christian attitudes, sure helped me.
